  2. ..... Stuart hi, I've probably driven around 200k in my Ls 400s over the years and haven't ever concerned myself that the gearbox fluids are other than ok ! That's why I take it to my indy to service once a year with the MOT and just about get superb and trouble free motoring ( don't much like visiting the tyre sales place tho', it's ALWAYS expensive it seems ) Malc

  3. Hey Guys, So I finally got my new wheels and tires installed today. :) I've had to order some spigot rings, as none were provided. :( Really like the look of the wider tires at the back. ;) Hope you like them too. :) Think I'll keep the orange calipers, like the contrast. Excuse the dirt! ;) didn't get time to clean before I ran out of daylight! :)

  4. Thanks Keith. :) Will look even meaner when I get the Wald carbon diffuser, upper carbon roof spoiler, and the vented Seibon carbon bonnet on there! ;) Do love the aggression of the diffuser though. :)

  5. Thanks. :) Tires are 245/35/19 up front, 275/30/19 at the back. A noticeable improvement over the OEM sizes, and with the lighter wheels, they should be better all round. :)

  6. The GS is a massive improvement over the last generation. RX is very different, but you might like the change. Worth test driving both.

  7. Are you sure that its the ABS actuator module at fault? if Lexus told you its the brake booster, then are you sure it's the same part? My understanding of a brake booster is the circular donut shaped assembly with a vacuum diaphragm mounted to the engine bay bulkhead behind the brake pedal which boosts pressure to the master cylinder. The faulty solenoid could be related to vacuum regulation. Just a thought. I'd hate for you to buy the wrong part. It's just worth checking with Lexus that you are looking at the correct part. Giles.

  8. Colin, many thanks for the prompt reply, and the image. There are no other symptoms apart from the warning lights mentioned above, and the Lexus main dealer said that the only fault code was for an open circuit in the brake booster solenoid. I will certainly go with your recommendation of the ABS pump / modulator combined. I'm just praying that I can get one from the breakers. Many thanks again. You sir are an absolute star.
