  2. My RX400h needs new brakes all round, discs and pads. Lexus have quoted me £630. Does this seem reasonable? (sorry for the two "should" in the title... can't find a way of correcting it)

  3. Had a look back at my previous posts and noticed I paid £111.9 on the 17/12/14, yesterday filled up at 98p! Is this making anyone drive faster :)

  4. Who did you purchase the latest Falkens from as that is a brilliant price. The only time I have seen a tyre that ended up like the one in the pictured was driven while the tyre was flat. Jewellers Rouge ? This is used on glass with very fine scratches and even then you will need to make sure you have plenty of Wheetabix for breakfast and have plenty of patience, if you have deep scratching you could be there for months trying to get rid of them. 5. It does sound a little low. After a run it is worth checking to see if any wheels/brakes are excessively hot, you could have a sticking brake calliper.

  6. But having said that 13-14 seems abit too low. I get 19-22 mpg

  8. The trouble with garages they don't understand Air conditioning systems they just weigh the gas in. Any air conditioning engineer will be able to charge the system by feel and pressure. Never trust a car dealer with air con issues. I am a air con engineer by trade and have been told several times when they are trying to sell me an air con service that the systems all leak. When I start to question them they allways back down. Allways take it to a specilist air con company who know what they are talking about and never let a dealer or a company like kwik fit touch your air con as if they weight the gas in and it still doesn't work they don't have a clue.

  10. Forget the diesel. Agricultural gearbox, 6th gear completely useless. Noisy engine sounds like a London cab. I know, I had one. Direct from Lexus with 40k and full dealer history. Dreadful. IS250 Auto is a much better car for the low miles you do.

  11. The petrol engine is quieter, smoother, better performance, mpg isn't that bad especially when factoring in the cheaper fuel. Given your lowish mileage I cannot see why you would want a diesel Lexus.

  12. One run (60ish miles) a week on motorway seems to keep the DPF clear on mine so you should be ok but maybe better to go for the 250 with you only doing low miles.

  13. 250 SE-L no argument .... be worth you reading the forums regarding the diesels There's not a lot of choice to be had for the SE-L models (pre-facelift) looks like people hold onto them for quite a while and when they come up for sale they go quick.

  14. I would personally go for a 250 auto. Sunroofs were taken off the specs as standard, so became a costly option. Unlike the Mk 1 IS

  15. Ar sorry for the duff info, it may be worth finding a good local locksmith and seeing if they can do it. I did find this info on CL which may help. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-third-generation/613742-programming-used-smart-key-fob.html
