  1. How do I turn off the large electro magnet that seems to attract the cars behind so they drive too close to my boot? It seems especially powerful when driving at 20mph through town. The closer they get the slower I have to go so their braking distance is in front of me as well as my own. I hate tailgaters. Any sensible ideas on how to stop them?

  3. I have just had my LS430 serviced by Lexus for £199 which is for a minor / intermediate service - I did discuss the option of a service plan with them but decided to just stick with the service costs as / when they arise. Weirdly, they said that their standard menu for servicing costs for older LS430s are £295 for the small service and £595 for the major service but they could do these same service jobs for £199 and £399 but they are not allowed to stamp the Service book but instead issue a card to confirm the work has been done. In my case today, they did stamp the book

  4. Saw this on ebay and thought it was a nice looking example. If everything is OK with the car and the LPG then you value £2k for the car and the best part of £1200 for the LPG to be installed if you were to go down the route of buying another LS and getting LPG installed. Baring in mind what people are saying about these cars are just not around anymore then as fas as I can see the price is in the right ball park. You will only know if you go and see the car. Ring the guy and see what inperession you get of him. Good luck Mike.

  5. Glad there is another one in Stockport. You might see someone flashing lights in a GS250 (just as rare as the ISF).

  6. That is normal. The light comes on so you know the bulb is working and then goes out. If the VSC is turned off, because of a fault with the system, then the light will come on and stay on.

  8. Lexus seem to be stuck in their year 2000 mindset when they could justify £2000 for a Sat Nav option and £100+ for a map update. Whilst I use the Lexus system I also have a £20 iPhone app that is far superior. At least with the DVD system you can get an update disc from eBay for around £60 if you just want the disc covering the UK.

  9. Hi Peter, finding your way around the car is the fun part, not sure if the 2010 model has full post code entry, if it has then its just menu button from the sat nav screen, destination, select page two, enter full post code, done. If it hasn’t got full post code entry, then have fun.

  10. I have had issues responding to this thread and don't want folk to feel that I am hiding any criticism of the Po-40 kit. I can (and have) attach the text that I have sent to John. I the meantime I will research why I couldn't paste my reply here. Michael JC_Jan7.pdf

  11. Sheffield are still doing it. It is still on Lexus website. If they refuse, I would get in touch with Lexus. It's part of their bid to retain work on older cars, as I understand it
