  1. Hello Just thought i'd share this with the group in case anyone is interested. In 'Car Mechanic' magazine there is a 4-issue article all about the Lexus/Toyota Hybrid system. The article does focus mainly on the Prius, however as the Lexus system is closely related to that then i'm sure a lot of the info is still relevant. I think the 4th issue is on sale in a few weeks - I read the previous issues while doing the family visits over Christmas/New Year, as one of them is into his car engineering so is a regular reader of that mag, and quickly produced them when he saw I had a hybrid now (RX). Cheers

  2. You should find more 430's for sale than 400's, nearly double the ampont of 430 to 400 are registered, interestingly though, sorn records for the 430 to 400 are 5 times higher for the 400. Are those sorn ones the kind we see in the corners of dealers who can't shift them, i know of 2 dealers local to me who have 400's and to be honest they have seen better days and they not asking much either, may get one for the running gear alone. Some people do buy big luxury cars and not just Lexus and they don't realise the costs of keepning them in good condition when any kind of issue or service comes up, this then lets the car go unloved and slowly starts the road to the scrapper. Another reason for sales could be due to running costs, admittedly fuel is lower at the moment which we all can benefit from, but i'm thinking of parting ship for better economy.

  3. 10000K - what is claimed by the seller on Ebay. Reality is going to be something completely different with an artificial tint, poor performance and made of the finest Chinesium. 'blue' light isn't that useful for night driving anyway, and is appalingly bad for the other drivers who are near you on the road since it's great at ruining dark adaptation. If you want something brighter then look for that, but don't just chav it up.

  4. There will be the "sod it syndrome"associated with that as the 430's have had a lot of inherrent faults and a lack of confidence will stem from that . The previous owners tend to stop spending on them and get rid when they have had a number of issues.

  5. is it just me or has anyone else noticed that alot of the 430s for sale especially the older ones tend to be abused examples - the 400s on the other hand even though older tend to be more tidier

  6. Nearly as good as the one I did in Poundland, went in there, walked up to the cashier and asked her to confirm that everything in the store was a pound, after receiving the confirmation I held out my pound coin and asked for the cash till :)

  7. i have noticed you guys have the earlier 430s - mines a facelift and has never caused any problems and works a treat everytime perhaps its just the early 430s with this complaint. the actual sensor is on the inside of the door handle and mine usually unlocks before i have had a chance to fully grasp the handle
