  1. Always fancied a Range Rover - just not the bills when it goes wrong. As for super cars, well the LS is a super car, no more to be said. Not really interested in cars that do 0 to 60 even before I have finished turning ignition!! Or a car where you can corner at stupid speeds and feel every single road kill that gets in the way. Remember once going to Puerto Banus and seeing the parade of fancy cars at the harbour front and thinking that I felt lucky to own a 400. the only change I will make is to a 460 (maybe)

  2. Finally got my 'new' LS into Miles, my mechanic, today for some work. Main jobs included welding the Y section of the exhaust which has resulted in a return to the wonderfully silent whoosh that we all know and love so well. Other bits of work including fitting two part worn Falken tyres that I'd picked up on eBay, getting the alignment sorted (it was well off), stripping and reseting the parking brake and solving the mystery of the permanently on parking brake light (which, as we all know, is (and was) caused by a faulty bulb!). So, car will be having a good clean over the weekend ready for the Christmas holiday. After Christmas, I'm going to get some of the other jobs done, including the cam belt and water pump. I'll also get some of the minor body work stuff sorted. I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy Christmas and peaceful, and blissfully Lexus-style quiet, New Year! :)

  3. No objection to dipped headlights really, even if they aren't really needed, but these ***** who think it looks "cool" to drive with fogs permanently on!!!!!!!!

  4. Good evening, I am looking at buying a 12/13 plate RX450h and am wondering if any members owning one over the last few years would care to give any negative thoughts on ownership especially regarding reliability. I already own IS300h , SWMBO has had a gen 3 Prius and we have had several cvt vehicles so no issues about transmission/hybrid functionality. Regards Wade

  6. Have a look at pics of a Toyota Alphard 'Royal Lounge' van! As to V12s. I had a BMW 850 once. Never again!Electric gear shift defaulted to 5th; wiring fault! etc..... Ser 4 seems about right to me.......as Pete and Brian say.

  7. I have test driven some GS vehicles including the GS300, GS430 and the newer GS450h They are all lovely cars to drive but having driven the LS400 and LS430, the GS felt like a step down in many ways. The GS is a beautifully built car and being a bit more compact, it does drive slightly better but if you are after the best luxury drive it has to be an LS all day long in opinion
