  1. I wish you all the luck in the world in getting better. I would keep the car you may find you need a nice pickmeup one day and slipping into the Lexus just to listen to that fabulous stereo in the sumptious leather seat just the trick. Best wishes Mike.

  2. I had cancer 3 years ago, I'm fine now. I bought a Toyota Hilux mk3 around the same time and spent many a happy hour tinkering, during my treatment and recovery. Best wishes mate

  6. Personally I'd be loathe to let any car stand for a year or so, let alone one with the complexity of a LS hybrid. More importantly, good luck for a full recovery.

  8. You will be hard pressed to get one as nice as this let alone at that price. I find it quite contradictory that we harp on on this forum about how good these cars are and then treat every candidate for purchase as a possible dog . The guy selling it is offering a free three month warranty and if there is anything seriously wrong with it it will show in the first three hours of ownership.Get real, these were £50k cars fourteen years ago £100k today. The quality does'nt go up the road with the last owner .Tyres are consumables they are not there forever if you are worried about forking out 400 pounds for tyres should you even be looking at one of these cars. Stop knocking the resale values you are only hurting yourselves.By the way the wires are related to the Lexus mobile phone set up that was then available on this model.

  10. So car tax on the 2008 Rx400 is £225 .. my 2005 Rx400 is £255 ... mmm .... I might look for a newer one ... I imagine the 225 was just a typo :-)

  11. I agree with Stuno1 but even if you do only want a car to go to a-b then i would still rather do it in a lexus. I wouldn't worry about the age of the Lexus as the reliability is enough to make a mechanic weep. Go and have a look in the workshop at a lexus dealership: they are wonderfully clean as there is nothing going on there! Invest in some vanity number plates and no-one will know that the Lexus is more than a year old. Enjoy
