  1. The IS series washer jets hit between 10 cm and 40 cm from the bottom of the windscreen when measured in the middle of the screen (not the side jets). The washer jets are not adjustable. However, jets with different aims are available from Lexus. 85381-30110 is the "normal" direction jet. 85381-3013 is the "high" pointing jet 85381-30150 is the "very high" pointing jet 85381-30140 is the "low" pointing jet" 85381-30160 is the "very low" pointing jet

  2. I would go onto Google and send out some searches on various breakers yards such as : www.247spares.co.uk www.findapart.co.uk www.breakersyards.co.uk I have successfully used a number of these sites to source parts for a few of my cars including my Lexus LS430

  3. I would suggest trying a number of breakers yard websites - they'll ask for the Year, Model and Chassis Number and should be able to come up with a used part and if you're lucky it might even be in the same colour as your wing I have successfully used sites such as : www.247spares.co.uk www.findapart.co.uk www.breakersyard.com There are a lot of other sites if you use Google but I'm sure you can find a good used wing out there. Good luck

  4. The codes you are getting relate to the problem through the Oxygen sensors The fuel supply is governed by the engine ecu on information given from the oxygen sensors . The Ecu will determine how much fuel to supply to the engine depending on the exhaust gas analysis so if the signal is fuel mixture too rich it cuts down the amount of fuel, so you will not get any at all eventually depending on how bad the sensors are. The rpm signal is related but without the troubleshooting section of the workshop manual it is difficult to determine how. It sounds like the oxygen sensors have gone down and there are four ,two to each exhaust one pre catylst and one post catylst. Sourced through Lexus they are expensive but you can get them elsewhere for half the price. There are threads both on this site and the US lexus owners site that cover this topic extensivly.

  6. I'm going to leave this thread to the 'big guys' - i.e. those with a 'grown up' IS. As much as I would love to own one, nearest I'm going to get is my postcode - ironically 1SF. Still fancy a personal plate though and SS61SFS is available. Ticks 4 boxes for me - Initials, age (well last year), postcode and my car. It's on the Christmas list! All the best with your 'beasts'.

  8. I've still got a set of winter tyres from my IS200. Seeing that early high-milers can be had for several hundred quid these days, I am considering buying one back as a winter runabout :)

  9. Tony and Andy you've hit the nail on the head. Lexus are seen as an old mans car as Clarkson doesn't drive one and they will out last anything European. However, Lexus to me are not the same company they were when they first came on the market. The first LS made the European brands sit up and take notice about quality, luxury and refinement. I now feel that Lexus has lost that bit of magic they had. The new C class is what the first gen IS was when it arrived. I am tempted to look at the 2nd gen IS as to me it is a stunning looking car and beautiful built. But do I want a 2.5 litre engine? I drove the new IS and hated the gearbox. Love the look of the car but there are some silly gimmicks in the car like the heating controls and why isn't there a 2 litre petrol? When I have some spare cash I might get an IS300 Sportcross, but don't tell the wife....ha ha.
