  1. His biggest complaints were it wasn't much more frugal with its five speed box, amd it just doesn't 'feel' as high quality...I can't comment, never even been in a 430... I do prefer the look of the ls400, it seems lower, wider, less slab sided, but hey, neither are in the same aesthetic league as an x308 jag or the like, to my eyes...a lexus is a car to be enjoyed from behind the wheel in a manner I have never experienced in owning almost 200 cars..yeah, you read that right..

  2. Pics to follow shortly. I am getting it valeted in a weeks time as it has some scratches on the n/s from bushes etc. The front n/s wheel needs a refurb and the other 3 are slightly corroded so all 4 being done next week. The dealer was asking £22,400 for it but because of the various bits and it needing an mot at the end of the month I bought it for £20,000 which I think is a fair price Having only done 13,500 miles and Sept10 the condition inside is like new, and once the wheels are done and the bodywork polished it will be a very nice example. Its has the M/L sound system that I wanted as well Pics in a week or two when its all in pristine condition.

  4. Well he can't say fairer than that. Nice one Ishaq. I imagine you will get some take up on this. Why not start a new topic with 'Carbon Clean Engine Offer - N.London' as the title. Likely to catch more eyes that way.

  5. I think that your sad experience just about convinces us Ls400 diehards that we should stay just as that ........... diehard Ls400 owners whilst we can. I'd be so miffed at having to find £1500 for summat that should never go wrong on a Lexus ............. but just seems to ...... the repair for the similar issue on the Ls400 is pennies by comparison. Your repair cost for heavens sake is the value or more of many of our Ls400 cars !!! Malc

  6. It's different to Terraclean. Terraclean uses chemicals and only really cleans the combustion chamber and injectors as far as I'm aware. Also its more expensive and time consuming. The hydrogen service uses pure hydrogen which you could run your car all day on but within 30 mins cleans everything that matters when it comes to carbon build up. In conclusion I would say its cheaper, safer and more effective lol.

  8. Really strange that you mention wheel bearing. My car never had that metalic grinding noise until both front wheel bearings where changed! I took the car back and insisted they change the near side bearing again for another make as i thought it was coming from that side, even though they reckoned the bearing was fine. Assume the garage changed it, but maybe they just left the car for the day and gave it back without doing anything, but noise is still there. Cant work it out as have changed both discs and pads for another make, even done rears as well, but this grinding noise is still there, worse at low speeds. Bothers me that noise only occured after front bearing were replaced...
