  1. You know the way some small dogs get ideas above their station and start sniffing the bottoms of bigger dogs?

  2. That Smart car needs to be careful if the LS boot happened to open it could fall in and never be seen again!

  3. I was listening to radio 2 today and heard an apparently true story about a customer who went to a garage to order a replacement dipstick for his car. Being an item not normally requiring replacement the garage owner asked the customer why he needed such a part. The customer replied " It is obviously worn out as it doesn't reach the oil anymore so I can't check the level"

  4. Wasn't my first choice, Mike, but colour wasn't the most important thing. And now I really like it. It suits the car, I think.

  6. Congratulations on your new car! Now, where were the pics again...? I'm driving around a new IS250 at the moment (on loan from Lexus), and I absolutely love it! The ride and handling is spot on in my opinion. :)

  7. I would defiantly go for a full bonnets, I looked into this film in great detail, even traveling to a showroom in London that had cars with it on, I suppose it depends on how fussy you are, but to me it was still clearly visible and not what I would put up with. I decide against it as I only cover 4k miles a year and very little motorway driving and if I was unlucky enough to get so many stone chips on my bumper and bonnet it would have been the same cost to have the bonnet and bumper re sprayed. It also depends on how long you intend to keep the car for, if it’s going to be a long time then the cost of multi re sprays would end up more then the film. I would have a look your self before having it done.

  8. You can't grumble at that price :) Perhaps have some parking sensors fitted while the bumper is off to avoid any further incidents?

  10. Hey Geoff, Been running Nitrogen in my tires for a few months now. Quite a few of us are using this over normal air. I personally felt the benefit when I switched. Ride seems a little less harsh, better absorbance over lumps and bumps in the road, don't need to keep on checking/topping them up like you do with air, better wear pattern (more even across the treads)....... It's £1.50 per tire at my local Quik Fit in Gravesend, so £6 for the set. Probably the cheapest modification I've done! ;)

  12. Version E is dealer only. They should be able to do it for you. Mine did while I waited, took 15mins start to finish, most of the time watching the screen doing the update. Not sure its worth it though, some things are slightly better, others appear same or worse.

  25. £176 for oil change is just ridiculous.. I have used Albin before but not for servicing. mate if its just an oil change service you require. why don't you buy the oil and oil filter from Eurocarparts or even Lexus and take it to a local garage near you to drain and refill for you. for £176 oil service, Albin will not do anything special to the car it will be just a darin and refill and check suspension parts, barkes, tyres and lights maybe top up brake and transmission fluid if low. else nothing else is done to the car for an oil service. any local garage near you can drain and refill your oil for about £40 if you supply the parts but don't forget to stay there and watch them do the job though. they might not stamp your service book due to it not being a service but just a drain and refill but keep your receipts as proof if you come to sell the car. its an 8 year old car and wont fetch any more than going market rate with a stamped service booklet any buyer will even trust you and be happy to buy your car if you have evidence showing receipts of oil and parts purchased than a stamped service booklet as those can be forged easily by anyone who knows what they doing.
