  2. When I bought that mint Mark 4 19kmiles two years ago the previous owner had not used it in the previous three years eg 250 miles between mot's.I did a couple of 1200 mile trips in short order and started to suffer extreme outer edge tyre wear on the front nearside. Broaching the subject on here I received lots of advice and having owned a Mark 1 for sixteen years knew that the Ls400 does suffer from reasonable outer edge tyre wear mainly because of heavy cornering.I took the Mark 4 to Lexus who said the teletrimy was spot on but the tyre continued to wear excessivly .I then went to Devon to see family and had the teletrimy checked at the Mitsubishi dealership in Barnstaple, they found everything fine. I was advised to check how old the front tyres were (Dunlop sport )they were the original tyres supplied with the car ,over ten years old ,quick visit to my tyre supplier two new Falkens and no more uneven tyre wear. Age from all accounts weakens the tyre wall and causes outward sag so the outer edge of the wearing surface makes heavier contact with the road. There are set time limits on the use of tyres and just because they look ok they could in fact be dangerous.

  3. My Mk2 died, a write-off, irreparably economically ( for me and my insurers ) vandalised by some low life ......... but I got my Mk3 with FLSH 3 yrs ago now and it's done 161k ...... but my indy looks after it and it's just a super car, my 3rd Ls400 and my main transport for nigh on 13 years of glorious motoring. 4. Latest update on my LS430 - I'm getting around 27 on a mixture of rural and mid-distance stuff. Longer runs I already know will show better than 30. So I'm content - the car is too enjoyable for fuel costs to be a big consideration amidst other domestic expenditure - but I'm seriously thinking about an LPG conversion next year.

  5. Hmm. Current = Volts / Resistance Volts = 2, Human body resistance, typically 2 K Ohms So current draw = 2/2000 = 0.001, or 1 milliAmp Typical button cell capacity = 250 mA Hours Time to discharge through human body = 250 Hours. Never leave scientific facts to a climate change denier You can make figuers say anything you like but the fact is that can happen. Who was to blame for the last ice age?? Mike PS Dosent denier relates to the weight (i.e. thickness) of the yarn from which hosiery is woven. I havent heard of womens stockings having anything to do with climate change although I can remember that the sight of of that particular piece of ladies apparal can cause the temperiture to rise.
