  1. Scott I dont think its the same - the ivic-d has full mirror and control capabaility of your androd phone via the nav display. This enables you to control everthing from your screen. .So, whatever apps are on your phone your nav screen has control over said functions .Ie email, text, google maps, spotify etc etc Hope that makes sense. 2. Hi Chris. I don't know if you've already seen this in the owners manual, but if you leave the physical metal key ring fob leaning onto either side (narrow sides) of the plastic key casing when starting or driving the car, it either won't start or will cut out shortly after starting. Also, if you have another key with a transponder on your keyring it can do the same thing as well. Worth a shot? Hope that helps. Chris. No other fob with a transponder anywhere near, and the metal key is well protected. I have resigned to the fact it must be a bad contact due to a bit of muck. Unless it happens again then Billy the 4lb quick adjustment tool will be in use.

  3. Hello and welcome to the LOC. Amazing paint on these cars, a bit of elbow grease and a private plate, who would guess it's 13 years old :) If you ever think of selling again post on here and we'll talk you out of it.

  4. You can't really go wrong at that purchase price, there's £120.00 of tax to begin with so the car cost just over £300.00 :) Welcome to the LOC and welcome to Lexus ownership.

  5. With me being so clumsy Stuart it's a blessing that mine is in the same boat as yours. What with my volume button issue and seemingly aiming my alloys at any available curb it's the last thing I need.

  6. Wow love it, very nice. Green is my favourite colour on cars, love the sport alloys also. Mine is burgundy which I like also but not as much as green. Cheers

  7. Welcome back to the fold Chris, looks like a nice car. Bristol based myself, so might see you around! Here is the ebay link to the module Lee mentioned: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/lexus-is200-300-sat-nav-flip-up-OEM-screen-activation-module-/231253663236?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item35d7cade04

  8. It is easy enough to get old seal out, clean it up and then re-seal it. Cost of some new sealant from DIY store less than a fiver. Done this on two Ls 400, and no problems afterwards. Takes less than an hour to do.

  9. You really need to go and see it then if happy make an offer. I thought originally it was located in Mansfield not far from me so would have been happy to go over and take a look myself but it turns out not to be.

  11. The post below gives details of the company I mentioned above, appears to be sucessful in curing the fault. Another point worth mentioning is avoid parking the car facing downhill, reason being the water tends to collect in the 2 corners nearest the rear screen then overflow into the boot, several members have drilled a hole in each corner then fitted a gromit and drain pipes to avoid this. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/49279-leaking-boot-cheap-fix/

  12. I ended up having a new raditator fitted. The leak was indeed in an obscure place, Im guessing it slowly leaked without me ever noticing any water underneath the car. The plus side is I've found an excellent garage in the Leeds area that I can use from now on and I've no other damage to the car (touch wood). Cheers

  13. Ref the wipers they will be rain sensitive surely , so u won't have intermittent. Operate once to clear the screen on entering the vehicle then it will work from the rain sensor if it set correctly on auto. On my wiper stork it says Mist (manually operated) Off Auto Lo Hi Or something like that.
