  1. 54 plate with 102789 miles - apart from regular 12 month/10k service, water pump and battery no other costs apart from fuel. Drives like it'll do another 100k. Hope I have not spoken too soon, but doubt it!

  2. Hello everyone, Thought i'd introduce myself. I work for a Lexus dealer, but won't bother going into too much detail for the sake of keeping it simple. I'll do my best to help anyone on here with any questions or issues when possible. I hope you don't mind - but i'll also try to correct anything I see that is blatantly wrong!! In a friendly way, of course I look forward to discussing all things Lexus with you... All the best.

  5. You have just re-entered Father Christmas`s Grotto ! It is a whole life experience which will now remain with you. You will make people smile each day with your easy driving manner, tolerance of others and complete absence of antagonism towards other ( less privileged?) road users. Lexus Motoring is a Galaxy away from the vast majority of others. Enjoy it while you can as we all have only a one way ticket and you now occupy one of the best seats !! Regards John

  7. Dont worry, arctic pearl looks better than F Sport white imo anyway. Much more elegant compared to the plain F Sport white. Doesnt shine as well even though its got glass flakes in it. Mine need a good polish - nothing in terms of defects, just minor swirls. Going to do a full decontamination, polish with DA and protection in the summer!

  10. I suggest you have a look at the PCV valve, it's a relatively inexpensive part that may have failed, leading to your current problem.

  11. Update #2 and FINAL The problem seems to be solved once for all, I hope. So all the suspension are ok and there isn't any oil leakage, the mechanics checked according to a Lexus instruction bulletin, and in the end they found the source of the goddamn noise. They fixed the parking brake shoes (not the cable), as it was indicated in a second bulletin, and from that moment the noise was totally gone. We tested the car on every single pothole, bumps and rough asphalt at various speeds and with different spring stiffness (NORMAL --> SPORT S --> SPORT S+). The work has been done in like 1 hour (inspection included), without an appointment, but since they haven't released me any document I can't post anything "technical" about the problem nor a scan. --- Basically, the known reasons (at the moment) are that this noise may be caused by: 1) Oil leakage from a suspension 2) Parking brake shoes --- Hope this will be helpful.

  12. Hello and welcome to the LOC. Could you correct some of the prices Lexus charge for parts like LS400 Upper Control Arms at £521.00 :)
