  1. To keep a good car in good paint condition then you really need to go down the clay bar route. Yes it can take a while, especially on a big lexus. Yes it can also make you arms and back hurt with the effort. But when you have finished and put a good wax over the top, you will not believe how smooth the paintwork feels. And getting those bits of crud off the paint that washing misses will make the paint last longer and look better. Took me best part of 6hrs last time i washed, clayed and waxed my old girl, another 7hrs for the car after that I hope sue don't read this, or i may have a pair of black eyes at our next meet

  3. A picture tells a thousand words. http://i.imgur.com/dpOlZ29.jpg It's not much louder, even with the resonators and second stage cat remover along with the OEM back box. It has a nice velvet burble, no resonance points, and is hard to hear at speed, roof up or down. I was hoping for a bit more of tuneful V8 noise, but I think in time that tending towards quieter is more social for life in the neighbourhood and cordial relations with the local police. I got the system handmade in Birmingham by a man who specializes in Italian cars. PM me for details as I don't know the rules here for giving out recommendations.

  6. Make sure you get the terminals the right way round. Do not get 'tother way and try and stretch the connectors to the front of the battery......just not a wise thing to do. Most companies do both types so phone em to be sure. You don't always get the option to see exactly what you are getting on line. And get the exact same size so the covering shroud fits properly.

  12. I don't get the impression that the rattles thus far are as bad as the second generation Jonas. At the moment it is nothing more than a very small annoyance which I am sure will be sorted easily now that we know it is down to temperatures - I'm also sure that it is coming from the speaker cover so surely this can be rectified? This car is light years ahead of the 2nd gen regarding refinement and the silence adds to any small noise or squeak that you may hear from time to time.

  13. So do I, once had one in Peugeot 406 (only good thing about the car). Why only 5 for the 430, surely you need one for the windscreen, then you have a lovely mobile hotel room with all the privacy you need. Not sure if there is a 430 with optional shower room to complete the range!?!?!?

  15. Sportcross 2.0 came with 16" alloys as standard. I've changed mine to 17" from the new IS. I've got spacers on because of the small lug on the front suspension. I know some people file this off. Best to stick with 16" for winter tyres and keep 17" for summer. Here's a before and after..
