  2. Absolutely encore to that - I have a 2014 premier on 16's - very comfy - mostly 2 mile each way daily commutes with occasional motorway runs of 15 - 20 miles. Last two tanks averaged 49.8 brim to brim. Best according to display 61.7 on a 20 mile mixed run. About to do carcassonne and back which will be the real tester. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC

  4. I also forgot to say get an IS250 which has the Mark Levinson stereo because it is excellent....IMO it is one of the best factory fitted stereos in any car on the road. I have had Ranger Rover, BMW M series and Merc E class drivers all comment on how good it sounds.

  6. Quick up-date ......... the Lexus is being trailered over to my mechanic later today ..... 50 miles away ..... for repair, annual service and a 6 week early MOT. Thank you Steve for the exploded diagram, my guy says it will be helpful. I refer him to this site when things seem a bit awkward ! Thanks. Malc

  7. Sounds like a malfunctioning VSC computer, or a loose connection on the wiring connector to the VSC unit. The VSC computer doesn't just handle VSC, but it also does ABS, vehicle speed monitoring and brake system safety checking. The lights work as follows: the VSC light comes on, if the VSC computer sends a "VSC not available" signal to the dash. No signal. No VSC warning. The brake light and ABS light stay on, unless the VSC computer sends a "brake system safe" signal or "ABS system working" signal. No signals, the lights come on. The speedo takes its signal from the VSC computer as well. No signal from the VSC computer, speedo reads zero. Finally, the power steering system takes a speed signal from the VSC computer so that it can adjust the power assistance. If it gets no signal, then it will report a power steering fault and may not work correctly.

  8. Got home a hour n half ago :) still got the stupid grin on my face, feel as relaxed as I did before setting off on my 438ml journey home....... On downside (feeling stupid and ashamed) don't go to McDonald's drive thru in Carlisle with a LS600 .... Corners to tight for such a big car and I kerbed NSF alloy :( DOH, will put spare on in morning and get kerbed alloy sorted this week..... Apart from that WOW what a car..... And big thanks to Paul from lexus Sheffield ( lol I got a lexus teddy off him for my youngest) car was all prept and washed as I arrived and was serviced and MOTd yesterday and 12mths road fund :) ... Honestly the rear seats and front passenger look like no-one ever sat on them.... Apart from me kerbing alloy it's minted, can't even see any stone chips or marks at all inside or outside not bad for a 5yr old car and bonus it only had 24241 miles on clock ...... Will get piccys done tomorrow
