  1. Just recently drove back from Dusseldorf in Germany where I was visiting my eldest boy and filled up again in Dover. The LS made it back on one tankful of gas and averaged 24.5 mpg. This was mostly at 80 mph (or slightly more occasionally), on the motorways through Germany, Holland, Belgium and France. I thought this was good going from a 4 litre V8 on lpg and, of course, it was a very relaxing drive. No tiredness or bum ache. Marvellous.

  2. for what it's worth, my two pennyworth...... Amber merely made a simple non contentious one liner that supported entirely the comment of another member. If one was of a frame of mind to look for malice aforethought then that one-liner could have been misconstrued, I didn't and accepted it at simple face value and with zero malice or contempt. I'm with Amber on this one. but what would i know, I'm NOT a Victor Meldrew but have had lots and lots of contention and contretemps in my time and understand how picky some minds can be. Let's just put this all to rest and move on please. Nowt comes of harping on over silly issues, let's all learn from this and always read the " best " into situations and statements ..................... rather than the opposite. Malc

  3. Hey Guys, Leave this with me for the moment. Will see if my friends Mum in Japan is willing to get a few more for me. If not, will see if I can convince Paul Whiffin to order a load from his buyers in Japan for you. I'll be in touch when I get more info. Cheers. Peter :)

  4. Hi Guys, Had quite the run around over the last few days. :) Started by getting my alloys refinished in a more OEM anthracite colour. That was followed by 4 new Vredstein Ultrac Sessanta's, and new metal valves all round. Next stop was to see Darren at Garage Whifbitz in Enfield. He fitted new Brembo discs up front, and the Hawk ceramic pads. He also did a brake fluid change while I was there. :) Last up was the caliper painting. Went to a nice firm over in Letchworth, and left it with them for the day. These are the results (sorry for the dirtier shots, can't wash them for at least 24hrs! Lol). Really pleased with how they've come out. :) Needs to be seen in person to appreciate the full effect! ;) Will do some better pictures once it's had a good clean and polish!! Cheers. Peter :)

  6. Fitting isn't included Andy. Think it's about £40 for the discs and pads if they come off without any issues. If they are seized or anything, will obviously be more.
