  2. I had the Pogo alert taken out of mine but after reading some reviews of iPhone speed apps I have downloaded one to use when I go anywhere I don't know the locations of the usual speed cameras. I've ordered a vent mount for the phone as well and see how I get on with it. I hate those mounts that attach to the screen. So no you are not paranoid...I have had mine for three months now and am amazed that I haven't got a ticket. Came close this evening when I took her out for a blast. Came off the motorway and on the roundabout above the junction there was an unmarked police car looking up the way I would have gone. I know it will happen some time though.

  3. I've had my 3IS since mid Dec. and everything works fine, the only " fault " I have noticed is the sat. nav. seems to suggest some strange routes, but it hasn't being a problem so far. I believe there has being a software update since a I took delivery, but I think I will stick to the old adage if it ain't broke don't fix it, and I love the way it reads out your texts. D

  4. The nightmare scenario as arrived ,I have just been trying to get a colour match for the wheels on my Mark 4 I acquired two years ago.The centre cap lacquer lifted on what were pristine just refurbished wheels when I got it .Apart from that the wheels are in the same condition as when I bought it. it seems that when the wheel refurbishers do the wheels they just mix up a silver that is as near to the colour that is there . I sent the cap off to a paint supplier to be spectomertered analysed and they say it will not read it as silver paint as that much metal in it the wavelength reading is all messed up .So they can't match the paint with a computered mix all they can do is guess at it. The other aspect of this is that if the wheels are done properly the paint is baked on but the centre caps are made of plastic so that paint as to be sprayed cold hence lifted lacquer because of the possible time lapse between lacquer and the silver paint. On my Mark 1 The clown of a company that refurbed those wheels refused to spray the centre caps after he had taken the job on and done the wheels and could'nt give me a colour code for the paint he used on the wheels .I ended up finding a Aerosol that was as near as we could get. Why the hell don't Lexus give a colour code for the wheels so we can keep to a set regime and illiminate this hit and miss scenario .At this time I am trying to find out from the previous owner where he had the wheels done and hope they kept some records but I am not betting the farm on it.

  5. If it has factory fitted park assist then you will see the sensors on the rear bumper, 4 of them, they should also be colour coded to the bumper. You should have 6 in the front bumper also. You can switch the park assist off and on from inside the cabin, to the right of the steering wheel next to the switch that you use to adjust the wing mirrors. The wiring you are seeing may not be for the park assist system, these cars are all wires, they fart by wire.

  6. I had these already on my carwhen I bought the it last year. They are phillips drl's and were fitted professionally by the look of them so not sure on cost. They go off automatically when the sidelights or dipped lights go on and the seller had them fitted as he went abroad alot and its easier then trying to remember to put your lights on all the time as is the law in certain countries apparently.
