Others will no doubt also have read of the hatchet job that was the review published in last Sunday's Times Driving supplement. If the recent press hasn't convinced you that JC has lost the plot then this review should confirm it beyond doubt. I should like to know what alternative exists to the CT where 1. You want a car that delivers exceptional mpg and 2. It costs nothing to tax and 3. You don't want diesel because of emissions and because if used mostly around town you'll be blocking the DPF as fast as all the lanes on the M25 between J5 and 6 and 4. You dont want German - because you don't want a brain transplant which seems to happen to all Audi and BMW drivers the moment they acquire them. A transplant that reduces the consideration synapses and ups the arrogance ones and 5. You want mega comfort and 6. You want a hatchback To my mind the CT delivers in spades - mind you as you have all made the same choice you are the converted. What journalist will have the hutspah to raise their head above the trenches and declare JC just plain wrong.

Hello and welcome to the LOC :) It seems the secret is out, more and more people are discovering the Lexus brand, we have tried for years to keep this secret hidden in the depths of the LOC but obviously with mainly only good things to say about them the information has leaked :)

If we're being pedantic, chaps, IMHO is not an acronym as it is not a pronounceable word. It is initialism . ^_^

Thanks Eff , I can understand the use of abbreviation when text messaging on a mobile but otherwise its not for me. I am known in my family as a bit of a Victor Meldrew ,my daughters often refer to me as the grumpy old git when I try to correct them for using text speak.

Shocking! I know the US government imposed the American warranty on Lexus , but for crying out loud, why are the rest of us not demanding equal treatment? I would not buy one of these new unless they also granted me the same. Not a chance. If everyone did the same we would all have a 10 year/ 100k guarantee.

If you want a S-class - I would go for a pristine example of the W140 500 SEL or 500 SEC I had the w124 500 SEL - I wouldn't go there :)

The insurance was £8 a year more Stuart ??????? Don't know how they work it out,..... but on the upside the tax is cheaper per year. Our is200 was a late 2001 so fell in higher bracket. The one you have linked to is the same spec and colour as ours apart from we have the black leather interior.
