  2. Hugh, hi, I only by chance got my first Ls400, about 12 years ago now, came as a trade-in on my car sales site and we just couldn't get anyone to buy it !!! a J reg Mk1 ........... so I decided to use it for my personal transport and WOW .......... never looked back and now quite afraid to even move onto a Mk4 ( with the vvti engine issues ) ............... all 3 of my Ls400s ( I had a Mk2 too ) have been BRILLIANT cars and the very best all round that I could have ever hoped to have driven ............. probably about 200,000 miles now. ................. made me one of the happiest motorists in the kingdom :) ............ for 12 years !!! 3. You cant, just press the start/stop button to turn the engine off, then press it again without your foot on the brake, you can then use the radio, but after around 20 minutes the car will automatically shut down to save on battery power so you will have to press the start/stop button again, a bit of a pain if your watching a film.

  4. That's exactly what my wife says...the first chip after all that money would be a killer.Honestly mate I've been there , I paid 27 grand for a brand new Lexus a couple of years ago , gorgeous car , hardly took it out .One day boom nice big chip on the bonnet and bumper , couldn't believe it , I thought never again am I buying a new car , I felt sick. The Lexus before that I spent around a grand on paint , looked mint then boom same again , back to square one , That's it for me , no more paint , one stone chip or 20 chips it's just the same , just ignore them mate . I showed a mate of mine who has a porche 911 my car . He looked around it and said nice it's got original paint and stone chips on the bonnet , keep it like that he said ,

  5. I would just leave it mate , just think if you get it sprayed and you get more stone chips , that will do your head in , keep it original , my bonnet is chipped but I'm leaving it , original is the way .

  6. remove the cover from the boot lid you will then see a row of 10mm nuts the same hight as the number plate lamps remove these then pull off the lamp cover on the outside of the boot you then slide the numberplate bulb housings to the side they then pop out and you can get to the bulb..
