  1. I would just like to mention Lexus in Stoke. I only went in to change the battery in my key fob. They could not do enough for me. Made me coffee, said go and have a look around the cars they had to sell. Came out to me on their forecourt to tell me they had finished putting the new battery in, I know they cost a mint to use, but all the same it was very pleasant. Not used to this from dealers. I was speaking to a guy there with his LS460 just in for a service. No change out of £750. He said he wished he had kept his old 400. Just thought I would share this with everyone. Tom.

  3. Piece of cake to check out. Make sure you set the system to 'recirculate' first. Open the glove box and remove the little shelf. Slide up and out the oblong cover, about 300mm x 50mm. Then you'll see the tray that holds the filter. Lift up slightly and remove. Take out old filter and slide in new one. Then all the previous in reverse. Peazy! You'll get a little 'click' when you relocate the tray in place and press it down. Got mine for £6.... Why give Lexus £38 for the same thing. Working a treat....no idea what the enhanced one is. Who needs it really?

  4. Before you go any further I'd get in touch with your insurer and just check that they would be happy to cover the mod and at what cost. The engine will physically fit but whether you will get the electrics to chat with each other is another thing, it may well just be plug and play but if not it could cost a fortune to get it to handshake.

  5. Hi ,I find Black circles or E tyres are competitive on prices ; you may find as you require 4 tyres ,if you approach a local independent tyre place with their prices they will match or better them and it may be more convenient for you . Dave

  6. There definitely is a problem with the service mileage/mot mileage for 2007and 2008 as you can see its definitely doesn't add up(cam belt change mileage). As a result it gives rise to suspicion and rightly so.The rest seems okay although a bit odd if I can use those words.

  7. Only one that looks odd is this 02/03/2007 51040 MOT 01/04/2007 49447 Service Service done after the MOT yet has less miles. 1593 miles difference in 30 days Best way to check is through the DVLA long as you have the V5C number you can do it through their website.

  8. Hello all, Couldn't resist the colour scheme of this mature Lexus LS400 now having its 21st Birthday. Had two Mercedes the same colour but been with black(ish) green W140 Merc the last six years and have finally got fed up looking at the rust problem. The Lexus looked immaculate and bought on chance that it would be OK. Trailered to me 200 miles. Only a bit of bubbling over driver wheelarch otherwise immaculate. Very nice. Love the sound of the V8 over my current S320. Had two V8 5 litre Mercs in the past. Great to be back to the sound. Looking at resolving issues. Possible leaking Header tank or loose fitting cap as fluid around top of unit. Brakes a little spongy from what I'm used to. No display in the Air con unit but working beautifully and can get replacement for $120 Stateside. Gald I've read that car has a non-intereference engine as no history on cambelt change.
