  4. Picked this IS200 up the other day, So far all I have done to it is give it a quck wash whilst at work. Im hoping to get round to washing the interior & giving it a full buff during my lunch break at work this week.

  5. It was hard work, but very satisfying. :) Whilst I normally give my car a quick wash every week to keep it "clean", I hadn't made the effort to clean it properly for probably around a year, and it was really showing. The paintwork was pretty lifeless and rough to the touch, and the bottom half was especially bad since it was saturated with hundreds of tar spots and other bits of embedded grime. The interior also hadn't been touched in ages, but wasn't too bad compared to the exterior. So, this weekend, and last, I took advantage of the nice weather to try and get my car spotless again and finally use some of the AutoGlym products I had been amassing thanks to Halfords' 3 for 2 offers. Last weekend was when most of the hard work was done. The car was washed and vacuumed, then dried before I set about removing all the tar deposits. The car was then clayed, and treated to a course of Super Resin Polish. I also done the alloys and dressed the tyres. That was where I left things though as it looked like it might start raining. Plus, I was getting pretty tired of all that rubbing and polishing. Fast-forward to this weekend, and the car was washed and dried once more. At this point I noticed how dull and faded the black paint on my door frames were, so I rejuvenated those with AG Paint Renovator then treated the car to another layer of SRP, before finishing the job with High Definition Wax to seal in the shine. Rubbers, plastics and glass were also done to complete the look, plus the wheels and tyres once again. A quick pass of the interior and engine bay followed, with the main task being to clean and condition the leather seats. No pics of this I'm afraid, or before, or during shots of any of the work I done. Just these few snaps taken in early morning sunshine which doesn't really show the deep shine very well. In person, the car looks tremendous and I'll be trying to keep it that way. Maybe even use this topic as a cleaning log of sorts...I'll make sure I take better pictures next time though. 6. The door seals were getting a bit flat and therefore letting in a lot of wind noise, priced up new ones (98 gs300) and the price was astronomical. While looking at old ones noticed they are just like hollow tubes, so why not pack them with something??? After numerous tests found that the pvc washer tube works best (8mm o/d). I cut a little hole in bottom of original seaj near sill and using baby oil as a lubricant (less likely to degrade rubber) feed tube through original seal, When you reach end just cut off pipe and seal hole with rubber glue. Job done, no more wind or road noise through seals and only cost £25 for all doors and boot. Best bit as well is you can do it all sat down LOL.

  7. Hey Simi. Happy to do yours mate. :) Will post links to all the different lights I bought after I've installed the main beam and fogs. That way you know they fit and work! ;) I've actually got a complete interior set coming from the States which includes the under mirror puddle lights. It's all LED and looks awesome!! I'll be heading back to the States in May (sitting in New Jersey as I type this), so could grab you a set of the interior lights if you want chap? Come over and look at mine once I've fitted the other bulbs. That way you can decide if you want the same look, or something different. A lot of the US guys went for the yellow fogs? Does look pretty nice on the white cars I looked at? Just a thought! Cheers. Peter :)

  8. Yes I am sure. 291mm is probably for IS220D's with 16inch wheels.

  11. Try racing an Audi Rs4 or Rs6 or even an S4 or S6, then tell is what happens. The guy that was racing you was driving a standard Audi A6, so of course our ls400's would beat it

  12. Cheers for the welcome guys. They are RX8 rims yes, brought it with them already on, they just about fit only a few mm between the tyre and the steering knuckle part. Cameras always rolling, just incase...

  13. I've never been a fan of deflectors. I can see how they are usefully practically, but I've never liked the look of them

  14. Ok so it finally arrived. Now i know its taken ages to arrive but it was just a combination of unlucky circumstances. You would normally receive your spoiler within a week via fedex from the link i gave. You will get a tracking number and expect it to arrive the day after it hits UK fedex depot, you need to be in to sign. secondly i did NOT incur any further charges of tax or anything like that. I paid £22 with no extra costs. Ok the spoiler. Was a bit worried at first as it was dead straight! but found it bends to the curvature of the IS but does make it a bit difficult to bend and stick it correct position, but i managed on my own just. I would however recommend a friend helping because if you stick it wrong by accident the self adhesive wont re-stick properly. After fitting i am very pleased with how it looks and would recommend it. The colour is also spot on. The only thing i found it is sticks out slightly on the bottom edges but is not noticeable tbh. have a look
