  1. That's great stuff Adam! The only problem is that we have to keep this info to ourselves, imagin if every person that is currently spending silly money on small engined cars that have "great MPG" woke up and realised the truth! Shhhhhhhhhhhhh mums the word :-)

  2. I've just returned to South Wales, having visited relatives in North Yorks for new year. We did around 800 miles, averaging a smidge under 25mpg on the computer display, but using LPG, so equivalent to 45-50 I guess. But, above all, the car performed faultlessly in some atrocious driving conditions, delivering us home as fresh as a daisy after a four hour trip. A good one of these is an absolute bargain, as has been said many times.

  4. Talking about cost and efficiency, you could buy a Prius Now here is a bit of a scientific rant. Prius-es and the people who drive them to "save the planet" are whoppers !!! They take their ELECTRIC car and plug it in - are you with me so far ? Where does the electricity come from ? ............. you guessed ........... the power station .......... powered by coal (more emissions than petrol) !!!! Yes there are wind farms but the majority of our electricity supply comes from COAL !!!! Next are the batteries that are warranted from Toyota for 100,000 miles but usually break after 120,000 miles at a cost of about £3000-£5000 After all of this how much did it cost and how much did it damage the environment to build the factory to build the Prius in and also the factory to build the batteries in. After all of this I feel that I am damaging the planet FAR less that someone who has a Prius and they are a hypocrite by driving such a ridiculous car. Stick to your Lexus and don't look back !!!! As for a smart car !!!!!!!! don't get me started. Aren't those the cars you have to open the boot and pull start every time you want to go anywhere :P they are AWFUL cars and I bet you spend more in repairs on it than you will putting fuel in your Lexus. I know this to be true as I know someone who bought one for good money between £2-£3k anyway next MOT came around and the repair bill was £1800 just to get it to scrape through !!! Seriously Lexus is the way

  6. well a 1245 width tyre sounds like something you'd find on a drag strip to me...but lets just say he was given a 245 wide tyre. then yes that would also be wrong if its the standard 17" 5 spoke wheels your talking about. 1. the standard width for those rims is 215mm, so they are too wide. 2. the number 50 on the tyre means that the wall height is 50% of the width. which puts them well over the normal rolling radius, and may cause rubbing issues over bumps etc. standard tyre (45% of 215mm = 96.75mm) your pals tyre (50% of 245mm = 122.5mm) STANDARD tyre set up is... 215/45/17 as far as i know what i said there is correct based on what you said and my own knowledge, but im sure if anything is amiss someone will correct me shortly. :)
