  1. As some of you may know , I had a 1996 LS400 great car Changed it for a 1998 jag xj8 4.0 great car Then a bmw 750il individual amazing car !! Then merc CL500 ,,,, worst car I ever owned ,,,, more breakdowns than I thought possible !, Now I've come back to Lexus Ahhhhh relax ,,,,, what was I ever thinking ( apart from the 750il ) Picked the LS up on Thursday ,,,, covered 350 miles , It amazes me !!! How can a car be so silent ? How can a car be so comfy ? How can a car have so many features / extras for so little money ? How can a car that cost me £4,100 get all these admiring looks ? How can a car make me want to look at it thru window of my house as much as I do ? Answers to all the above have one answer ,,,,,,,,,, it's a Lexus LS430 ! As you may guess ,,,,,,I'm absolutely over the moon with my car !

  2. Just a thought, as the exhausts, especially around the flange are known to blow, could that have a slight effect? The reason I mention it, is that when I had a slight (and I mean very slight) uneven idle, the mechanic noticed the very slight exhaust blow, and said it could have an effect on the idle. As he was trained by Lexus, I guess he should know?

  4. For the average male of the species, the instruction manual is the final resort when every other, and I mean every other, avenue has been explored. The time taken and effort expended exploring every other avenue before resorting to the instruction manual are completely irrelevant as this system is driven by testosterone and is infallible. It is also versatile, and may be used for cars, operation of new power tools and household appliances,, furniture assembly and navigation

  6. I've always made it my policy when buying a car since being caught out years ago. 1:Check that the locking wheel nut key is there. 2: Replace lockers with standard nuts/bolts unless the wheels are worth more than the car. 3: Chuck the lockers in the bin. (Blimey - that was my 100th post!)

  7. Hi Guys Edited: 28th November 2013 - 10.00am Our first report on the data loss was due to security issues, but I have found out that it was actually web host issue. Due to some technical issues with our host and not being able to restore a recent back up we have suffered a little bit of data loss. This was mainly due to being set up on a new cloud infrastructure and the back ups were not tested fully. Some of you may have experienced that we have stepped back a few days and there will be loss in topics, Posts and PM's. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused members, including members that registered over the last week that may need to re-register. I have taken steps to ensure that the nightly data back ups are backing up correctly in future and I have taken extra steps to ensure that this will not happen again. We have been lucky over the last 12 years that we have managed to keep the data intact, so as you can understand I am sad that a little bit of data has been lost. Sorry guys!
