Ive also been involved with other various car clubs and overall ive found the LOC the friendliest and most genuine club so far, just a great bunch. thanks everyone
I guys,
I acquired my 08 GS450h a few days ago and love it. My question is about the guidance lines on the reverse camera.
I have done a google search and had a look on here but I cannot find out how to turn them on, what am I doing wrong?
hi also have a ex demo ct200 didnt go with dealer gap, instead found gap insurance 123 on the web rang up and talked over the phone told me i did not need to package and saved £££££££££££s better to have peace of mind just in case.
I'm lucky enough to be able to choose my company car and have just ordered the IS300h F Sport.
Whilst I've not driven the F Sport yet I have driven the Luxury which was quite impressive. I expect the F Sport to be a firmer ride and rather cool to drive with that funky dash..
Coming from an estate car no doubt I'll be cursing the boot, but with the tax and inland revenue approved mileage rates what they are for a 2.5 hybrid I'll soon forget any compromise and will settle back into those sports seats quite quickly!
Any F Sport owners out there already as I have not seen a single IS 300h on the road yet?
Delivery is not for a couple of months so no doubt they'll be everywhere by the time I'm out there..
Here's a few of mine.
Number plates are not blacked out so apologies if this bothers you. Just pm me and I'll delete the pics in question. Honestly tho I don't see the point, your number plate is on display 24/7 on your car lol.
Anyway had a great day. Good to meet new people and to catch up with the old faces :)
I hadn't even considered a Lexus until two weeks ago as my Audi order was delayed, so I had another look at cars with the CT 200 first - the sales guy pointed me to the IS and that was that.
It makes such economic sense I'd be mad not to. The fact that the F Sport came in budget (just) was a bonus although Lexus are offering free nav upgrade on the SE and Luxury models - shame not on the F Sport as I wouldn't spend 2k on one otherwise.
Now I'm looking forward to the IS and becoming an eco warrior!!
Ever since buying my MK4 I have continued to look at the market on ebay, auto trader and gumtree. I am very happy with my purchase, and haven't seen anything match it yet.
I'm sure there may be a reasonable explanation as to why the pics "appear" to show 2 different cars (drivers side rear wheel visible in 2 photos, different wheel in both - different dash, etc) - but it makes you wonder why people aren't exactly transparent about things? It's just stupid.
I didn't spot that!
The issue I saw was that the first photo showed a mk4 dash, with D-4, 3, 2, L - but the other photos showed a mk3 stereo/climate and 4 speed shifter - D-3, 2, L.
Hmmm?
£1090 sounds too cheap. I have hana injectors on mine as they are better than the omvl ones. Profess also give a life time parts & labour warranty on their systems. So if something wears out its replaced for free. Mine has run fine now for 12.000 miles & am happy with the install & more importantly the service I receive from profess.
I would advise either Adams Dad or Profess to do the install. if you go down the profess route ask for hana injectors.
Hey the size was 205/55.6v. They were Michelin prim 3. I got them from Costco for about £250 including fitting and balance in the price.
Guy said my hubs are badly corroded so I think this is my excuse for 17" wheels next year lol
I would'nt worry to much about the water that as gone into the door as it goes in even if the seal is OK it is basically a dirt seal and the inside of the door is waterproofed with regards to any workings if you look at the bottom of the door you will see several drain slits so any water can escape. You can get a new seal but the replacement procedure requires the virtual dismantling of the top of the door and the removal of the door card.
By hook or by crook. I have only been a member of two other motoring owners club one was Reliant Scimitar owners club, ( that's the Reliant that did have a wheel on each corner) they were OK but I always got the feeling they were running a business rather than a club and the other was Mercedes Owners Club and if you didn't have the latest model they didn't really want to know you. I stress that that is just the feeling I got from them.
The one Lexus meet I have made it too at the P&L was a genuine mix of owners with various models and ages and all friendly and only to pleased to help another member with what ever it took to help another member.
Carry on The Lexus Owners Club. Mike
Some very nice photos of Sundays meet there, though, for reasons that those who attended will appreciate, there are noticeably,no close-ups of my car (cough, cough) and would also mention-,and I'm sure I'm speaking for many of the other Members, there on Sunday, Bluesman, was conspicuous,by his absence, maybe next time Mike?
