  1. I did Edinburgh to Newcastle last year, a gentle pootle stopping off at Lindisfarne, Bamburgh and a few other quite places, lovely way to spend a day, but never stopped off for Fish & Chips, so maybe next time, will consider this as option. Must say in an LS400 felt like I was driving a comfortable sofa around some luverly scenery

  3. I don't know if you've noticed, but the prices on these mkIV ls400's have gone up even if the vehicle has not got LPG, and that particular car looks mint and well worth the asking price in my opinion

  4. Job done and major sense of achievement given that the plastic cabling had snapped inside the aerial mechanism which resulted in me having to undo it from the car, take it inside, disassemble it following instructions here (with one or two variations), put it back together on the car, and feed in the new aerial. Couple of points: nut came off easily using a small screwdriver and gentle taps with the hammer (hitting away from the car!). Plastic cord teeth had to face the back of the car to get grip with motor gears and feed in. Apart from that, very all done in around 45 minutes (not bad for me!).

  5. A few months back I did a 180 mile round trip in a friends mk3 LS400, (donor car, engine + box now gone into a hi-lux surf). It was absolutely amazing to drive! After my Vectra starting playing up, I knew what choice I had to make... Regards

  8. Hi All, many thanks for all your comments regarding colour choice. I agree that it's very subjective! However, good news! Yesterday evening I e-mailed Lexus Head Office to ask the location of my nearest dealer with an ultra blue F sport in the showroom. This morning I received a reply and today I visited the dealer to see it for myself. I agree with Wicksy, ultra blue really does suit the styling of the F sport. I was very impressed, so much so that tomorrow I am going to place my order for my ultra blue F sport with sat nav. I have to say that I am very impressed with the Lexus customer service, and the dealer personnel I have encountered have been friendly and knowledgeable. I now have one remaining point - just what is the best and most cost effective method for protecting the paintwork? Thanks again to those members that have posted replies to my original question. It's good to be on board!
