New Website Update

Dear Club Members,

As a majority of you may have noticed that we have undergone a big change on the forums and website.

The change of website look and feel is part of a plan to enhance the clubs throughout and adding more exciting features to the club and keep you guys engaged with the community. The forum is just a start of the process and over the next coming months new things will start to appear on the website which will in turn enhance the new template. Tere will also be many asthetic tweaks coming too.

As the new template of the site is rather new, there are still few few things that need fixing. I have been over pages over and over to get things ironed out but it can take quite a while to get it all looking perfect. So please bear with me on this.

As members of the club it would be great for some constructive feedback from you guys, report any problems and suggest some ideas. If you could take time to send me an email with anything you think may help the site.

Please remember,  screenshots are very helpful if you have layout issues or be descriptive as possible.

I'm possibly just missing it, but I can't for the life of me find where to join/sign up for Gold Membership on the home page now. I managed to get to it but clicking in your (Steve's) sig, but couldn't see anything on the actual home page.

No so much a problem, but perhaps the "new content" and "logout" buttons could do with being captioned/named rather than just an icon. It was really only through habit that I clicked on the new content, but it took curiosity of the [-> button for me to find out that it was to log out.

Other than that, as I said in another thread. I likes it a lot :D

Don't suppose there's a mobile version available or on the way is there?

It works quite nicely on my laptop but it's clunky & stuttery on an iPad. Haven't tried it on my phone as of yet

Don't suppose there's a mobile version available or on the way is there?

It works quite nicely on my laptop but it's clunky & stuttery on an iPad. Haven't tried it on my phone as of yet

I will check ipad out, i could make an ipad version

if you use Iphone or android then it should show a mobile version.

Whilst I like the design and colouring I do not like the fact that when in a topic it is Squashed because of the banner on RHS!!

Latest posts does not update as well especially as the timeline seems to be rather long so I have to mark community read each time :eerrrmm:

On the main Forum page I dont like the fact that the banner is again too wide on the RHS.

(If I have read your 'grump' right) There are settings down the left hand side which show up when you are on 'new/latest' posts which you can change to suit how you view new content ....... I discovered them after finding that posts I had replied to weren't showing up :o, thought there was something wrong but all I needed to do was change it suit :D

before when searching for new content there was only one setting. The new Latest Posts section lets you customise this to suit yourself. It also have a nifty fature of removing posts that you have replied to and then reaapear when someone posts in that thread. So this allows you to trwl through threads and not accidently revisit an unanswered topic. This also can be swtiched off by using the correct filters.

Also note that a new mobile version will be coming soon and an IPAD version... please bear with me here guys.

What I still dont like is the fact that when viewing a thread you still have the banner in the right, why can we not have full screen like we did on the old site?

I am getting used to the rest of it but I still dont like this bit :megaangry: :megaangry:
