Odd windscreen wiper behaviour
A very strange one with my 2 month old Takumi today. Put the key fob in my pocket, opened my kitchen door and noticed the windscreen wipers were going !!! Car was still locked.... Unlocked as usual and then had to turn the wipers off manually. It wasn't even raining and the car was completely dry !! I had been outside 10 minutes before (without the key) and I'm pretty sure the wipers weren't going then... Anyone else seen such weird behaviour or got any ideas ? Many thanks !
Ottocast Android Auto Wireless Adapter
I have been researching and experimenting with Android Auto Wireless adapters for the LBX and I alighted upon the Ottocast A2 Air Pro as my chosen device. This costs £79 from amazon although amazon Resale have them for £52.50 as "used - like new" which was what I bought. It was new and never opened, worked perfectly. This particular device appealed because of its quality construction, small size and rapid connection of the Android Auto app to the car (approx 15 seconds) for either my wife's
Cost of ownership IS 350 in UK
Does anyone in the UK actually own and drive an IS 350. I’ve found a few IS 350 for sale and I’m thinking of buying it but I’m just curious about what the cost of ownership is like. I know parts are probably interchangeable with IS 250s but in terms of insurance anyone have any idea on what insurance group it is?
Surely just a faulty BALLAST, no need for'new'headlamp unit?
2008 GS450h 50K miles and otherwise trouble-free; no local corrosion or similar. Thumping has no effect on the on/off state of the bulb. I think it's just a faulty BALLAST, no need for replacement headlamp unit. Your views please.
Anybody tried new bushings for premature tyre wear?
Hi! I've been doing a lot of reading up on the IS300h and so far I'm getting more convinced on potentially getting one, the only thing turning me off on them is the premature tyre wear reports. So far almost all MOT result (I know those aren't too reliable) checks I see will have some sort of tyre wear notice, which kind of freaks me out given MOTs are done annually. I'm not keen on buying new tyres almost every year I own it. While reading up on this specific issue I found this a
Bye bye LS430 !!!
I have had my LPG 2004 LS430 for 8 years, - it's been amazing, i've loved every mile i've done and never stopped appreciating it. I've now, I believe, wrote the car off from something silly... it was losing coolant and I drove it for too long (long story), however, it's probably cooked the head gasket in the opinion of a local mechanic. What on earth to replace it with? Really I'd like another, if I can find one... or? And what to do with my written off car? And what to tell
