Tracker - any experience with LBX?
After four incidents of attempted or actual car theft within 100 metres, thoughts turn to security. We have LBX on order. I asked about Lexus supplied tracker as per the announcement in September but apparently that does not apply to LBX. Anyone fitted tracker, any thoughts on utility, please? Also considering front & rear dashcams, partly for security when parked. Any thoughts on that, please? I will be investing in disklock as basic additional security.
TS and CG pins
Does anyone have a diagram of the DLC pinouts please I'm trying to manually (paperclip method) recalibrate my steering sensor (techstream loses communication half way through 🤬) I've found lots of posts and videos online saying pins #4/#12 are the correct ones but when I use them it puts me in 'diag vsc' mode where I can check things on the navigation screen instead of test mode which is really frustrating 🤣 🤣 been trying for days 🤣
IS 220D Engine ignition
I left my Lexus IS220D parked for a couple of months and when ive come back to starting it up again the engine isnt starting and a whining/clicking noise is coming from the engine whilst the start button is being held down, i have a feeling its the starter motor but there wasnt an issue previously, does anyone have an idea of what it could be? Any and all help is greatly appreciated
Software Updates
As far as I am aware I don’t think I have ever had a OTA software update. When I check my software version it is the same as it has always been ever since I got the car back in September 2023. on the odd occasion I get in the car and it says settings are updating but not the software. When I check in the menu it just says all the time no update available. I am just wondering if it is an issue like with the map updates. Is there a way to force an update.
IS 300h transmission fluid still OK after 270k km (170k mi)?
Hello, new owner of my first Lexus (IS 300h 2015). First I have to say that the car is awesome, people who never drove lexus are truly missing out. So about the question: After reading many discussions I learned that the ATF is not to be replaced as per manufacturer specification it lasts the car´s lifetime. But most people discussing had around 100k miles driven on their cars. I just bought mine at 270k km / 170k mi. Runs like a charm, I have to admit that I am impressed with the stat
Cold weather and tyre pressure warning
It is 3C this morning and tyre pressure warning is on, showing all 4 wheels as 2.1 bar, but showing warnings only for 3 wheels. I understand, tyre pressure drops in cold weather but does it mean that the warning will be on every cold morning?
