Help Needed With Parrot Install Is220D

Recommended Posts

Hi, sorry if this has been posted incorrect, but I really could do with some help and advice. I brought a parrot astroid mini, I have installed it, but because I have an amp at the rear, which is two channel, I get streaming audio from some speakers and cd audio from others. Can anyone please give me some advice, I spent 3 hours last night, just making an extention for the parrot. Am pulling my hair out . Thank you in advance ☺

Have you used the correct interface leads to connect the parrot to the head unit?. would have thought that should mute the head and allow the parrot to be heard.

Hi Steve,

thank you for your reply, yes I brought a CT10LX01 T harness, none of the connections take place at the head unit, they all take place at the amp, because the amp has two channels, the parrot mutes the channel that it is connected too, maybe I don't have the correct harness or I am just overlooking some thing, I thought that maybe someone else may have experience this problem, and has a solution. Thank you

Both the left and right amplifier channels are on the same connector - so the parrot should mute both. If only the left, or only the right is being muted then it sounds like the wiring is wrong.

Shouldn't the ISO conversion harness connect to the head unit, rather than the amplifier in the boot?

Note that if you have the DVD player option, then the CD/DVD audio from the head unit goes via a separate digital cable direct to the amplifier, and this cannot be intercepted or muted by any kind of add-on module.

Thank you Mark, I will have a look, sounds like I have installed it in the wrong location, and this maybe causing the problem, I will have a look and update you.

I had a Nokia system wired into my 220d when I had it. That was definitely wired into the back of the head unit.

It muted the audio source when taking a call.

Hi

I've just had a Bury CC9068 installed in my 220d and had to spend a tidy sum buying a special wiring harness. The advice i gfot from every installer I spoke to was that the wiring starts at the back (amplifier) and then moves forward. I'm sorry mate but i did not stand over the guy installing mine, however if you didn't pay a small fortune for the extra wiring harness you have the wrong kit my friend....
