Hi.

Hope you guys can help with this one.

I have a lexus is200d 2010 reg.

Over the weekend I managed to blow the small 10amp side light fuse in the engine compartment fuse box whilst trying to fit some DRL,s.

I replaced the fuse and thought no more about it till Monday morning when I next used the car.

When I started the car up I noticed a "hood open" warning on my dash. I checked to make sure the hood was shut properly and got back in the car, hood open warning was still illuminated.

This stayed on all the way to and from work.

When I got home I checked the hood again which was shut but i noticed my front side lights weren't working. I checked the rear lights which were working fine.

I rechecked the fuse I had replaced and it was ok.

So now after my weekends work I have no front side lights and a hood open warning on my dash.

Any help would be appreciated.

With thanks

Steve...

Hello and welcome to the LOC.

A bit late here but golden rule of working on car electrics or any electrics come to that is always disconnect the battery/power source before commencing any work unless you cannot avoid it.

I would advise re-checking the replaced 10A fuse and then all the fuses as there will be more located within the under dash fuse board.
