hi woundered how i would find out if the car i bought is just this any one know cheers roy

I believe they were only available in blue or white and it should have the body kit and TRD suspension. Some of the changes were optional, for example the instrument cluster, so it is difficult to be sure what to look for. I haven't seen a definitive list of minimum changes that are made to a stock vehicle.

i dont know what suspension is on it it does look like a modelister from pics ive seen, is there anything on the vin plate saying whats been done ,its going into garage for a gd check up ,i think its been in an accident at some time sill pushed in at front passenger door

and bodykit looks like it been ripped of put back we some ties, things i never seen when i got it thought the seller would have said all that was wrong but never mind you learn by your mistakes lol

been told by my garage that the car need loas of suspension part anyone know of a place that i can easly purchess parts ,would

like what trd put on awaite your replys

There are a few importers of TRD parts, Fensport UK is one the springs to mind, but worth asking on the IS200 forum too in case other members can offer further assistance.

I'm not sure if all the TRD parts for the Altezza are still available, and TRD parts are not cheap.

Yep, definitely a Qualitat Modellista version.

Modellista speedo.

Details on the VIN plate should be the same as the one pictured below.

8J9 = dark blue. AZ20 = red and black trim.

SXE10 = Altezza RS200 chassis code - Saloon, 4 cylinder 2.0 engine

3S-GE = Engine model

J160 = Transmission code - 6 speed manual

A01B = Rear differential code - low ratio LSD (A02x are higher geared - A = standard, B =LSD )

that ace guys thanks for the info great help hopefully when all suspension work been done i can get the bump out of the sill ,the thing the seller never told me about and the door at same bit pushed in a bit ,not all that noticabe untile you get down open door and look ,stereo wireing and central lockin looked at

I thought that the "Qualitat" and "Modellista" were separate models?

This car says its both.  I remember importing a Qualtat and it was identical to yours.. Maybe its had a Modellista speedo put in?

 

I could of course be completely wrong..  Lovely car though regardless!

Not all Qualitat vehicles went to Modellista so you can have a Qualitat that isn't a Modellista but the official Modellista Altezza is a Quallitat.
