Need Lexus Is200 Help!

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

i've been a long time lurker and have recently ran into a bit of trouble with my Australian lexus is200...

1. water jets on the bonnet have stopped working, (yes there is water in the reservoir but doesn't make any noise..)
2. central locking has deciding to stop completely, (Battery's in both remotes are less then 2 months old)
3. there is water leaking from the passenger side footwell once the air con has been on for more then 20 minutes (Not sure if the evaporator could be busted or the heater core?)

If anyone could help me, id be very appreciative!!

Thanks

1. Fuse or pump is dead.

2. Car may need reprogramming. There's a guide on this forum in "lexus guides"

3. That's your heater matrix (core) leaking.

any idea where the fuse is located mate, as ive had a look and can't see it anywhere..., and for #2, it happened just after i hit a bump, my stereo system turned off aswell.. (stereo wiring job is very bad from the previous owner...)

hi when i had my ever faithful is200 , the nozzle actually became clogged with dirt i used a pin to unclog them , maybe that's it.

alrighty thanks mate, will check over all that this coming weekend...

If the nozzles are blocked you'd still hear the pump working, that's why I said fuse or pump is knackered as it makes no noise.

No idea where the fuse is sorry.

And yeah great shout Steve. That pipe comes off sometimes but if it's leaking into your passenger footwell that's 100% heater core related
