Looking at the exploded diagram it seems that they are a push fit so a narrow wallpaper scraper wrapped with some insulation tape usually does the job. Insert the blade a few mm at the bottom and push the handle down once the vent begins to move swop to the top and push the handle upwards. Once loose it will wiggle out.

Thanks Steve, so no screws at all? and no other trim removal? can you tell me where you found this exploded view please as ive been searching for ages and Lexus want to charge me an hour per vent..

Just a caution from a US site, the centre vents are warned to be part of the dash unit and extreme caution is advised..

Lexus South Atlanta have an online catalogue which is useful for seeing exploded diagrams for all models. And its free to use.

www.lexussouthatlantaparts.com

Just find your vent and the exploded diagram should give you the info you need!
