I got 29.6MPG from my last tank of petrol. :D

This is the best I've ever got. I didn't think it was possible to get such a high MPG from an IS.

What's the best you've got from your IS?

most was motorway cruising thought at around 70mph.

Southampton and back, 250 miles each way

Motorway plus a bit of Rush hour traffic and small streets..

I get about 100 miles for £15 of Optimax

similar discussion here, mine roughly 240 miles on a full tank - majority town driving!!! but I think I should get better figures then that ;) but i'm on the case resolving it ;) :duh:

I average 250 to 350 on a full tank of Optimax (75% motoway/A roads and the rest town driving)...

And I thought 29.6MPG was good.

Often get 450 out of a tank. Currently at 350 with quarter of a tank to go

My commute is 90% motorway / dual carriageway. If I take it easy (steady 60-70 mph) it's quite easy to get around 35 mpg. My best figure was done this summer when the weather was pretty hot which seems to make quite a difference.

When I was doing a shorter commute I was getting around 30 mpg which is very close to the official combined figure of 29.1 mpg.
