Fm Better Than Dab

This is my first car with DAB radio and I'm surprised at how much better FM is than DAB, Even my cloth ears can tell the difference.

Sounds adjustments are source specific so maybe they are just set wrong for DAB? Sound quality should be noticeable better on DAB over FM, certainly on a mainstream station with decent bandwidth such as the BBC stations.

I've upped trebble and bass and its a little better. BBC is only 128mbs. The lowest I encode MP3s is 195mbs, 320 prefered.

I read rave reviews about the Mark Levinson systems fitted in Lex's in general but have to say I'm a little disappointed with mine but it is 12 year old tech now and I imagine the new ones are probably better.

Regardless, it's ample for everyday needs and long gone are my audio modding days!

DAB isn't CD quality but even 128 Mbps is miles better than FM radio.

I would have thought the advantage of DAB is more down to the large number of channels available. I haven't got DAB but I was in my dads Golf which has and I found some great stations which I'd love to get in mine.
