Replacing Abs Sensor

Hello Guys,

I have to replace one of the rear ABS sensors on my LS. Will I have to reset the system in any way after I have fitted a new one or will the dashboard warning lights and message just disappear on their own?

You may have to clear the code but possibly just removing the Battery positive and giving it a few minutes will also do the job just make sure you have any radio codes to hand.

I now have the sensor, I just have to find a spare hour or two to fit it.

Well I have just finished fitting the new ABS sensor. At first I was disappointed that the dash warning lights and the message were still visible but as soon as I took the car up the road for a test the warnings disappeared. I think the system reset when the car got up to about 10MPH.

All I have to do now is get the old girl through the MOT and I will be smiling for another year.
