wheeler dealers is one of my most watched programmes. The first time I saw the ls400 episode I fell in love with the car. would have bought a bronze w reg one a few years back which was mint. I've watched the same episode several times and will probably get a box set.

I have never seen that episode before. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but then I am biased - since acquiring a LS430 a month ago.

Did a dvla info search on this car, not had an MOT since 2010.

you don't need to buy the box set ....... they'll always repeat them on Quest

when ed says replacing the wishbones is cheaper than the bushes, is that right?

...........  the UCAs ( upper control arms / bushes and arms ) can be expensive if OEM or very cheap if Chinese crap which last about 3 weeks !

OEM last 150/160/200k + miles ....................  depends on the driver I'd imagine and in between costs are well, up to you.

OEM from Lexus are about £500 a side but simple job to do

I replaced one of mine last year at 173k miles and cost £250 and hope it will last for many many years

The cheapo ones are down to about £30 a side.

That Mk3 with 85k miles I'd expect the UCAs to see another 85k miles looking at how well the car seems to have been looked after.
