Mirror Bulb Replacment 2010 F Sport With Led Turn Signal

HI guys

Really need some help on replacing the standard halogen bulbs on the bottom of the mirror housing, I can only see vids of people changing the none LED turn signal old type mirrors don't know if it will be different pls help!

Have you seen this vid?

I watched this before doing my puddle lights. Its the same for mine. You just have to have a care for the signal wiring in there too!

Worked a treat for me. One thing to be aware of...don't try and put a longer LED bulb in there ....it won't fit. Think mine are about 25/26mm in total length.

Hi Normski

Yes I have seen this video but I am getting conflicting info about the later models that have the LED indicators on the mirrors as well as the puddle lights if it's the same process then I will go ahead just need to know if any one on here has done this on a later model.

Yes....me....I have my2010 with puddle lights and indicators in the mirror.

Here is my account to another member after changing my puddle light bulbs to LED

"I've just done the puddles tonight. My bulbs are those
shorter ones with 5 smd. My unit definitely has a reflector
around the bulb. The bulbs I used are identical to the Precision ones and the
light is good. Just been outside to check it out! Nice to see everything all
daylight white. Not quite sure what you mean by Flank light, but if the smd's
are all on one side you can't switch it if the polarity is wrong.

Anyway, took about 35 mins to do both mirrors. Put an old
towel over the door (window open)to support the removed mirror screen. The bulb
that’s in there is a T10 capless type. You can't put anything longer than the
type of bulb I used as it won't fit....I tried a longer one last night..did not
fit."

Ok Normski I'll give this a go I am LED mad and will change all bulbs that I can thanks for the info I'm new on here even though I signed up ages ago when I had my old is200 its for sale if anyone is interested 2000 x reg only 78k plat ice se.
