Fault Reader - Help

Dear All,

I own a 2006 IS250 Auto and I'm constantly getting the Check VSC, ABS, Red Warning Triangle, and VCS orange light on/

It doesn't affect the driving of the car, but is getting annoying and I want to resolve it before it develops into something further.

My mechanic tried reading the faults, but his software was unable to pick any faults whatsover.

I've contacted Lexus and they want £90 just to read the faults :eerrrmm: .

Would you guys know anyone in Leicestershire that will be able to read the faults without charging an arm and leg?

Most readers should be able to correct pull all the codes, even the cheap £10 readers that connect to a computer on eBay. Really any mechanic should be able to help.

will cheap-o readers do a full diag scan? i shouldn't think so. I know the cheap ones would not read all the codes on the Honda Accord.

You need to find a semi decent garage who can scan the car for errors, any decent mechanic should have a professional scanner to read codes on modern cars (most of these cost quite a bit).

Most will read the codes they just may not have the manufacturer specific codes in the database to tell you what it means. There are many posts on here from people purchasing USB based readers from sources such as eBay for very little money. It's the all in one handheld scanners that aren't much use unless you spend a reasonable about on them.
