Interior Trim Rattle (Control Panel)

Hi !

I experience an annoying rattle/squeak from a control panel (this one on the right from the steering wheel) do anyone have a similar problem and any solution for that? I already took it out and covered some areas with anti squeak tape but it didn't help at all..

Guess your 300 is on an 05 plate. There is so much patching that can be done which only solves the problem on a temp basis. Does it happen all the time or olny on warm days? I was given the poor excuse as the materials flexing

It's on 55 plate and it happens all the time. I think I found a solution. I took out the panel and there it is built from 2 plastic covers and it was moving. I taped with anti squeak tape the connection between them and it stopped.. but only for a month, now it's back but quieter. Before the job it was so loud I coould hear it while listening to music LOUDLY. Did you try to resolve this problem at all? I already took the panel out around 5 times and I do not fancy doing it another 5 times..

I fixed a squeak on my old LS 400 using talcum powder. I just dropped a little on the offending area then wiped away the excess.
