Afternoon All

Started the car yesterday morning IS220d and the Battery light came on straight away and has been on since apart from the odd occasion when the light flicks off for a few seconds then returns to being on constantly. About two months ago I replaced the Battery as it wasn't turning the engine over, but all the lights were coming on sat nav lit up etc. In the end it was the original Battery so I replaced it.

Although the light is on I cannot feel or see any difference in the car and is still starting/running in the normal way i.e. no drain on Battery that I can tell so far. Has anyone an idea or maybe give me an idea of what to check as I don't want to wait to long before it turns into something more sinister.

Thanks

Ryan

Try take the Battery off ovwr night! That'll reset the computer...usually after any work carried on the car it needs reseated!.tip: sometime even a simple task as light bulbs replacement can trigger defaults

Alternator almost definatly if it broke down on motorway. Check belts for any tears or wear before changing actual alternator.
