Happy New Year all

has anyone had their engine remapped / retuned. is it worth it a i feel my lexus is220d se-l lacks the power to pull away from sationary as it had when i first acquired it? How much would it typically cost and also has anyone heard of egr delete to improve power?

I dont think the 220 can be remapped,the ECU cant be hackd into apparantly.

i have a tuning chip fitted to mine which has really perked up the performance

do you mind me asking how much the tuning chip cost and how much it perked the performance?

The chip was from racechip tuning and it cost around £200 (paid in euros) ,it says on their website the chip increases power from to 231bhp and torque to480nm.

Im not sure how much it has increased my cars power by but it certainly has improved its performance,its much better to drive and pulls really well now

I also have a sprintbooster fitted which improves the throttle response but adds no extra power

Currently have a tuning box from http://www.tdi-tuning.co.uk installed (prices on site)

I have a 59-reg se-i is220d. I went for the single channel version and so far so good, can feel the response straight away. Customisable and easy to fit! Current set to more economical then performance lol
