Guys,

I am heading back to work on the 5th, so my car will be unused from Dec 20th to Jan4th, its in an underground park. Should I be concerned about the Battery? up to now the car has started without fail. I need the car on the 4th to get back to my gaff, It sunday so I would be stuck in a bit of bother if it did not start.!

Guess there will be a few factors to consider.

If the Battery is newish then it should hold its charge ok.

You are stored out of really cold air so that should help with Battery life too.

Assuming there is no trickle drain on the Battery.ie something you may have added or even a boot light left on by mistake..then you should be ok.

Why not just get down there and fire her up and run a bit.

My wife's mx5 has been outside and unused since 20th and fired up this morning first time with a 3 yr old Battery. Car was caked in ice too!

ahh...well ya didn't say that in the first post.

Hope it starts then....my guess is you'll be OK.

Mines on the original Battery (7 years old) has started every time after coming back home from a 2 week holiday. As mentioned above, unless you have left items running, you will be ok.
