Right, so i am completely re-doing a 1uzfe engine from a 97 ls400.

i purchased a gasket set from eBay U.S....and it came with of a load of O-rings..

i removed and re-sealed the oil pump/front cover. between the cover and block there is an O-ring that seals the main oil gallery that runs down center of the block.

I took what seemed to be the correct size 0-ring from the set and fitted it on the block...as the block is grooved for the ring, not the cover....

the o-ring fit perfectly on the outside edge of the groove, but a small gap on the inside...i figured once compressed it would fill the slight gap....but now i am second guessing myself..and its worrying me.

i shoud have just bought the original one from lexus...as i dont want to have to take it all apart again!

does anyone have a picture of the o-ring installed on the block?
