Hi

When I start the engine on my 2007 IS220D, I have to wait for about a minute until I can turn on the heater / air con, is this a normal thing ?

Also when I turn it on, it always resets to 22 degrees, is there any way of changing this ?

Thanks

Mine turns on instantly.

I think there must be a fault?

Sounds like it is going completely off every time the ignition goes off - An electrical fault?

Does yours stay on the same setting that you left it on ?

Mine comes back to 22 degs.

Maybe it is a fault of some sort............. difficult to find out though unless I take it back to Lexus ??

Yep - Whatever I last had it at, comes on even as engine starts.

AC setting the same, temp the same...

Sounds as if yours is losing all power / resetting each off.

The heater should come on automatically when started if in manual mode.

However, in automatic mode, it will wait 2 or 3 minutes to allow the engine to warm up first.

As above but adding ,if you want more heat/flow put on the front switch it speeds up but I turn temperature up to 28 for 5 mins prior to leaving work although going to work is easy as I garage it
