Sticking Passenger Mirror !

passenger mirror has started to stick/get stuck when i close them in it moves very slightly then stops , the mirror has not been damaged/hit and pushes quite freely by hand . what is causing this ? is it a easy job to do ? if it is knackerd does anyone have a spare motor ? :duh:

I had this problem last summer, and by the time I wanted to take a look inside, the problem had sorted itself. Probably there's a bad contact somewhere, either in the mirror (most obvious because it it exposed to the weather) or in the control pad. I have never noticed it since, and I regularly move it down for kerbside parking (my dear alloys! :ohmy: )

P.S. I have driven cars which automatically turn down the passenger mirror when shifting in reverse, so you can see the wheel... :blush:

Yes, a lot of the gadgets that are now coming available in the new LS430 and RX300 were already there on the old 5-Series.... (like steering wheel memory positions, airconditioned massaging seats, etc... ) I just was a bit reluctant to mention it here....

Well it took them a couple of years at Lexus, but they probably put in the extra time to make these gadgets to last....
