Sticking Passenger Mirror !

passenger mirror has started to stick/get stuck when i close them in it moves very slightly then stops , the mirror has not been damaged/hit and pushes quite freely by hand . what is causing this ? is it a easy job to do ? if it is knackerd does anyone have a spare motor ? :duh:

I had this problem last summer, and by the time I wanted to take a look inside, the problem had sorted itself. Probably there's a bad contact somewhere, either in the mirror (most obvious because it it exposed to the weather) or in the control pad. I have never noticed it since, and I regularly move it down for kerbside parking (my dear alloys! )

P.S. I have driven cars which automatically turn down the passenger mirror when shifting in reverse, so you can see the wheel...

Probably just mucky. Hot soapy water and WD40 shoudl fix it. Did it on mine.

Yes, a lot of the gadgets that are now coming available in the new LS430 and RX300 were already there on the old 5-Series.... (like steering wheel memory positions, airconditioned massaging seats, etc... ) I just was a bit reluctant to mention it here....

Well it took them a couple of years at Lexus, but they probably put in the extra time to make these gadgets to last....
