Manchester Warning!

I read this on the Civic Type-R and thought best to inform yourselves.

Just heard from my friend whos got a black 03 ctr who went to manchester on wendsday night with friends.

cops pulled out his ctr and said look we dont think your tints are legal we need you to wait here so we can test the light on your tints. which he did and told him his tints are too dark gave him a ticket and said fix it with in 48 hrs or upto a £5,000 fine.

so not a good start to say his tints cost him £300 quid.

now the roads were like jam packed at this time bumper to bumper.

anyways one of the lads in the back of the car's at uni in manchester and needed to drop some stuff off , so dropped him off at his student house neways my friend driving his ctr went to meet some one else but stopped before he got there as he needed to make a call so jumped out of the CTR as people were in the car and wanted to make the call in privategot on his mobile. blah blah

4 black guys appear (at this time friends too busy talking on the phone cant see anything)

1 grabs him by the neck ''dont f*ck about you know what we want''

drops the keys

while this is going on 2 of the other guys surround the CTR pulls the door handle bad news all the doors are not locked

(dont for get all this happend in seconds)

one of them open the pass door tells him '' get the f*ck out we know who you are ''

(friends never seen him b4 in his life)

asks his how do you know me ? etc ect?

''pulls out a gun and grabs him and just throws him to the floor''

2 people in the back of the ctr just bail out and leg it.

friend who dropped the keys goes over to the friend who got thrown out of the car says '' just leave it''

crooks hear this say '' yeah you f**kin leave it '' make way in the car

by this time friend in total shock his cars just been taken from him in min's

gets to the cop shop tells all b/c gun where involved cops sent out vans etc searching for them .

copper asks u got a tracker

''nope''

cop decides to make a joke '' this aint one of them insurance clams is it''

anyways long story short cops still have no sign of the car or anything.

asks the cop'' any chance of finding the car''

reply'' not very likley ''

SO YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED MAKE OF IT WHAT YOU WANT.

will he be following up with the police? I know gun crime is said to be on the rise. I hope he is not traumatised by it. the delayed onset of Shock can be quite hard to deal with. there are specialist though. Tell you friend to make sure he avails himself of their expertise should he not feel himself at all.

last time I had a gun pulled on me was is Turkey 1993 when I was to trunk to get off the pavement and back on the bar property. was a sobering experience alright! one that stays with you I dare say...

wouldn't it be nice if people were brought up to respect their fellow human beings... ansd the trees and the rivers. Sometimes people are very unchristian about other peoples possessions... Shame on them.

however, in the spirit of the Lord I think we must learn to forgive so that we can move on.

quite a nasty experience all round really, i always make sure my doors are locked when im driving around. the police up here had a big crack down on tinted windows a few months ago, but only targeted cars with seriously tinted front windows, which i totally agree with.

can anyone remind me why i moved to manchester???? its a bit like the gangster capital of england!

That sounds like a right nightmare, surely the cops can't charge him the £5000 if he don't get his car back?

Thought the police in manc are pretty sound compared to chester where I used to live.

Where did this happen?

according to the user who published the post(on type-r forum) who's friend, the victim, it happen to...

That must have been a very frightening experience for them.

How exactly does a CLifford Blackjaxx system work?

Every time a door is opened, you have to enter a "valet code" on the 2 button from the alarm, otherwise, they get about 200 yards down the road, the engine cuts out, and they get locked inside the car, with the alarm screaming blue murder and all the lights flashing like Blackpool illuminations!!

I would definately recommend it....... still no good if you get dragged through the window, because the thug thinks he`s Luke Duke...

Now if daisy duke dragged me out the window and popped her leg over... I'd probly not evne report the car stolen...

i just got back from south africa and bought a couple anti hijack units there - very cheap as well! so will be fitting that fairly soon you can have it so every time a door or drivers door is opened/closed you have to reset a hidden switch or after a certain amount of time a little buzzer sounds and if u still dont use the switch it will slow the car down for about 20 secs then cut the engine and also sound a siren/horn/lights.

you can also have it so you have to hold the switch when starting the car ( if ur keys are stolen)

that must be the less agressive model that the the South African's have produced. I like the BK Flamer version... speaking of which.... FOOOOOOOOD

Im far too fat to be dragged out of the window :D but the blackjaxx sounds cool even if the name of it stereotypes a little
