Yes it should come on when you open the door.

You will find on the 430 it will only illuminate the light that the door is open, ie open rear near side passanger door and rear near side passanger door light will come on. Phil

Looks like I need to check the switch contacts.

Do they come on when you manually push the button on the light its self? You could be unlucky and have both bulbs gone? Worth a try

They switch on and off as they should.
