Part Numbers

I posted up here recently about a BCM problem with my GS300. I've found the same car (different year) in a dismantlers with its BCM intact and the part numbers differ only slightly (last digit is 1 on mine and 2 on breakers.)

So I'm wondering, is it compatible with my car? Is the last digit an indicator of a production line date or is it a little more specific. Would it have any adverse effect on my car if I were to install it?

Thoughts please..

Without providing the year of your GS300 I can't check the part numbers for you :)

Mines a 2005 Mk3, breakers car is a 2006 :-D

BCM (Body Control Module) part number 89211-30020?

All parts from models built between 01/2005 to 08/2007 should be compatible.

One of my Celsiors has a UK spec engine ECU fitted JDM ends in 50 and UK in 60 but it works.

Hmmm... Strange. Perhaps I'm looking at the wrong part? The number I have for what I think is The BCM on the 2005 mk3 is 82730-30281? Its an off white box behind the glovebox with roughly 8 connectors...

My bad, Steve. You were spot on. I was looking on the wrong side of the car. Its just behind the steering column for future reference.

Ok, turns out I was wrong again about the location of the BCM. It is in fact behind the glovebox and not the steering column as previously posted by me.

Anyways, I installed the brand new second hand BCM and straight away my wipers worked. The part numbers weren't an exact match but the newer one worked nonetheless.
