Ok... i have 6mm on 17s at the mo...

anymore i'd need to spend some wonga right?

yep i have 40mm studs on the front of the drift car, as the SSR wheels catch the calipers, so when i have the SSR's fitted i put 25mm spacers on the front

I know i will be branded 'Thicky McThick' for asking this but, what type, and octane is the fuel you will use!

Anyone that says 'Diesel' will be ignored :D

damn you have rolled those arches out a little!!!

I looked in the frost catalogue and a full arch rolling kit is £250, think i might invest in one as thats almost what they charge you in a garage!!

well this weekend i was mostly getting dirty and narked off again.....

rollcage removed fully.........what a pain in the ***** that was, i obviously did to much of a good job, getting it in

next up was to remove the 13" thick rubber sound insulation from the rear wheel arches.....what a pain in the *****, the only way to do it in the end, was set fire to it

removingunderseal.jpg

after a few hours, was time for the undercoat

RearLHarchundercoat.jpg

also painted all the boot area......

bootundercoat1.jpg

fitted the fuel pump tray.....

bootundercoatandfuelpumptrayfit.jpg

removed the rear subframe, in preperation for fitting the KAAZ 2 way differential, Boris Factory gear reduction pinion and the El Sport differential mounts, plust some structural work on the subframe

subframeandrearcoilovers.jpg

fabricated the mounts, and mounted the Tilton pedal box......what a pain in the *****

pedalbox2.jpg

pedalbox3.jpg

as a result of the pedal box being further away from the bulkhead.........the seat needed moving backwards, this has some possitive side effects.....however new seat mounts needed making up....

Wow this is turning into a right weapon Matt

wicked stuff

never seen a project like this before

thanks for sharing it with us

mechanical mods a still new to me and it's great to see pics of the parts

and the drift machine being built from the bare shell all the way up

what are you doing with your old inlet plenum when you make your new 1 :shifty:

or will there be a bit of modding to the old one

well spent the day doing some work on the dash, after Trimming it down, and removing the parts of the vent system that wont be required, i started having a look at mounting some of the gauges..., i wanted to use the original area for a more factory look, so in the binacle ive mounted the Tachometer, fuel pressure gauge and the fuel level gauge, i still have to mount.....somewhere.....Boost, oil temp, oil pressure, Volt meter, water temp, and the lcd display for EGT.......

here are the 3 binacle mounted Gauges

stageonedashmount.jpg

dashview2.jpg

also made up the bracket, and mounted the oil pots...for the brakes and clutch

oilpotsmounted.jpg

and test fitted the HKS oil cooler, some modification was and still is needed, i want to make more sturdy mounting points, im also thinking of mounting a small fan on the cooler for when the car is static after a hard run

forgive me for being stupid, but will that final drive kit increase or decrease the speed of the car. i am assuming that it will decrease it but give faster acceleration

so last night i was working.......or supposed to be, well i was "in work" so that counts

did a bit more on the instruments.....

blacked out the aluminium panel and fitted the boost guage (fitted in the drivers vent)

p3020003.jpg

Fitted the shift light (top of the console) and the adjuster knob for the brake bias (Red Knob)

P3020020.jpg

dash is trimmed down in preperation for the new centre console

P3020013.jpg

Rather than paying 50 million to have TRD bushes fitted i have used an old "racers" trick, of filling the bushes with RTV sealent

Just starting to fill one of the bushes.

P3020022.jpg

Same bush filled

P3020023.jpg

and the subframe, with all bushes filled with RTV
