Looks great Mat....

So what are your plans for the headlights? are you blanking them off, or do you have a surprise in store?

Posted

i am initially using the factory lights.......

however........

i do have an idea that i may try out....more for allowing more cool air into the engine bay rather than looks, but will still have a light either side

Posted

oooh, I think I know what you mean (sort of).

Nice looking motor, would be wicked to see it racing about a track!

Posted

prolly dont.......

im thinking of using 2 mk2 golf headlights..one either side...

so a round headlight, the resulting area around the lights will be moulded to act like an air duct

just an idea at the mo

Posted

that will defo look different :) can't wait to see it done

that idea was what I was thinking of. Seen a lot of cars, race and at the pod, with one of the headlight bits removed and an air duct put in its place.

Should be wicked. Mk1 golf eh! Now theres a car.

ah, just noticed you want to use mk2!! oh well.

petes Q first...

well im looking at 2 series at the moment, how ever the problem is both series the car will not compete well in as the other cars are hatchbacks

but initially the car is beingf built as a track car, and a rolling demo for the club, for trackdays and at car shows such as JAE.

We couldnt get the BTCC/TOCA car for JAE, so this will be the next best thing.....our own race car!

i know where it is, and why it was pulled, but unfortunatly i am not in the possition to say why...sorry

If you havent sorted your extinguishing system I may be of help. Being in that industry I can get you a (specialist) system at cost if required.
